If you are thinking about purchasing a hammock then a Brazilian hammock is what you want. Hammocks were invented by the indians of Brazil and continue to form an important part of Brazilian culture today. Our hammocks are made in the state of Ceará in Northeastern Brazil, which is the center of hammock production in Brazil. It is also a region where close to 50% of the people sleep in hammocks year round. That's right - no beds - just hammocks, so they are made to be comfortable, long lasting, and easy to store or set up.

The hammocks are tightly woven with 100% natural cotton fiber and come with a hand crocheted fringe. We offer two main hammock styles, a full-sized and a hammock chair version. Our full-sized version is large enough for two adults and are easily hung in standard hammock stands. As you may notice from our pictures, the Brazilian style hammocks do not use a wooden separator on each end, which is common in the "L.L. Bean/Pawley's Island/Hatteras" style rope hammocks. Instead of the separator, the Brazilians always lay diagonally in the hammock thereby spreading the hammock out and creating a flatter surface.
